AutoShoppingCenter warranty chart

     

All products should be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and with periodical maintenance as set forth by the original manufacturer subject to the following terms and conditions.

Mercedes engines DEFINITIONS:

ENGINE:

As used in this warranty refers to the remanufactured assembly (basic block, cylinder head and internal components) as supplied .

CYLINDER HEAD:

As used in the warranty refers to the remanufactured cylinder head including those parts and accessories supplied .

TERM:

Commencing on date of delivery:

SHORTBLOCKS: 12 months unlimited mileage

LONGBLOCKS: PRE 1974 18 months unlimited mileage

1974-1982 3 years or 36,000 miles

Type 601, 602, 603 3 years or 36,000 miles

1983 - Current 4 years or 50,000 miles
Parts are Replace as Needed or New.

Basically all components contained between valve cover and oil pan.

CYLINDER HEADS: Supplied separately carry a warranty term of 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever occurs first.

TRUCKS: Over 11,000 GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) carry a warranty term of 6 months or 6,000 miles whichever occurs first.
MOTORHOMES: Class A or Motorhomes over 11,000 GVW are NOT COVERED .

MARINE: Engines cataloged and sold as Marine Engines are specifically prepared for this use and carry a warranty term of 6 months with a replacement liability of $350.00.
Engines used in marine applications that are not cataloged carry a warranty term of 30 days with no provision for labor claims.

FARM, LIFT TRUCK and INDUSTRIAL: Applications carry a warranty term of 6 months with a replacement liability of $500.00.

PRODUCT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY:

Product replaced under warranty carries the remainder of the original product's warranty term.

LIMITATIONS: This warranty applies to products originally supplied by Autoshoppingcenter. This warranty does not apply to or include any of the following.

  • A. Damages as a result of OVERHEATING, LACK of LUBRICATION or CONTAMINATION.
  • B. Damage resulting from PRE-IGNITION or DETONATION. This includes but is not limited to melted or broken pistons, broken piston rings, damaged cylinder heads, leaking head gaskets, etc. for more information regarding pre-ignition and detonation please contact our Customer Service Department.
  • C. Repair or replacement required as a result of accident or misuse.
  • D. Repair or replacement of any accessory or service item, including specifically but not limited to: all components of the cooling, fuel, electrical and ignition systems in addition to all belts, hoses and filters.
  • E. Any product used for competition, racing or related purposes.
  • F. Any product to which a device or accessory not conforming to original manufacturers specifications has been installed.
G. Any product on which periodic maintenance services required by the original manufacturer have not been performed.

LABOR PAYMENTS:

Authorized repairs will be compensated at a rate not to exceed 80% of the applicable flat rate schedule as published by Chilton, Mitchell or Motors Repair Manuals. Hourly rates for all authorized labor claims will be paid in accordance with the original installation rate, not to exceed $48.00 per flat rate hour.

Do-it-yourself repairs, and repairs performed by unlicensed repair facilities, will not be paid


AUDI / VW engines DEFINITIONS:

Most engines and transmissions are NEW, some are rebuilt
and
the warranty is provide by the manucturers/importers/rebuilders not at all by Usexport or autoshoppingcenter and cover 6 month and 6000 miles

There is no labor coverage on engines .

ADDITIONAL OWNER / USER OBLIGATIONS:

All the components must be replace by a recognized VW independant shop or a VW Dealer

Initial Startup: Valves must be readjusted to manufacturer's specifications. Due to various component designs, cylinder head re-torque may or may not be required in your particular application.

Refer to factory shop manual for the proper procedure for your engine type.

If for any reason you are unsure what action to take please contact us.

First Service Between 600-1000 Miles After Installation: Oil and oil filter must be changed, valves readjusted and cylinder heads re-torqued if needed (refer to initial startup instructions).

FAILURE TO PERFORM THESE BASIC OPERATIONS and all MODIFICATIONS

on those engines

MAY RESULT IN A VOIDED WARRANTY.


IMPORT JAPANESE ENGINES

Warranty Facts:

Failures as a result of improper installations or faulty accessories not supplied with the remanufactured engine will void your warranty.

Please review installation procedures prior to installation of the engine.

You should always determine what caused your engine to fail and correct the problem prior to starting your engine.

Extreme Care should be taken to ensure no debris from a failed engine is reintroduced into the new engines oil, coolant or intake passages.

Do I need to call before repairing the vehicle? Yes, all repairs must be authorized before they are done.
